Gerd Arntz

Benchmark score:
9.0

Gerd Arntz (11 December 1900 – 4 December 1988) was a German Modernist artist, well-known for his stark black and white woodcuts. A key figure in the Cologne Progressives, he was deeply engaged with social and political issues, which he expressed through his art. Arntz collaborated with social scientist and economist Otto Neurath, contributing significantly to the development of the Isotype, a visual language that aimed to communicate complex information in a clear, graphic form. The Midlibrary score is 9/9! Another great style in our collection!
