Ludwig Bemelmans

Benchmark score:
8.5

Ludwig Bemelmans was born on April 27, 1898, in Meran, Austria (now in Italy), and passed away on October 1, 1962. He was an Austrian-American writer and illustrator best known for his children's books, particularly the "Madeline" series. Bemelmans emigrated to the United States from Germany in 1914 at the age of sixteen. He initially worked in hotels before venturing into writing and illustrating. His works have been cherished by both children and adults, and he spent most of his time between New York City and Paris. Midlibrary score is 8.5/9, the Nazgul is a bit generic, but we love the houses in the front! And Thom Yorke is one of our favorites this month!
