Norval Morrisseau (1932–2007), also known as Copper Thunderbird, was an Indigenous Canadian artist of Ojibwe ancestry who is considered the grandfather of contemporary Indigenous art in Canada. Morrisseau was largely self-taught and is best known for originating the Woodland School style, which blends traditional Indigenous symbols with contemporary artistic techniques. His work often features vivid colors and intricate patterns, drawing inspiration from Ojibwe cultural and spiritual practices. We love the way Midjourney interprets Norval Morrisseau's style, with bright colors, crazy shapes and bold lines. The Midlibrary score is 9/9.
