Ukiyo-e

Benchmark score:
9.0

Did you know that Japanese Ukiyo-e means "pictures of the floating world"? This woodblock prints technique originated in Japan during the Edo period (1603-1868). By the way, its bold compositions, flat colors, and unique perspectives greatly influenced some of the most renowned Western artists: Vincent van Gogh and Claude Monet, to name a few. With all the beautiful results, it is a clear 9/9 Midlibrary score (and a Powestyle!).
