Utagawa Hiroshige

Benchmark score:
9.0

Utagawa Hiroshige, originally named Andō Tokutarō, was born in 1797 in Edo, now known as Tokyo, Japan. He was a prominent ukiyo-e artist, considered the last great master of this traditional Japanese woodblock printing technique. Hiroshige's father served as the warden of the Edo fire brigade, a position that initially seemed to be Hiroshige's destiny as well. However, his artistic talents led him down a different path. He is best known for his landscapes, particularly his series "The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō," which captured the essence of various locations along the Tōkaidō road between Edo and Kyoto. We love Utagawa Hiroshige's style in Midjourney. It strongly influences all the prompts in our benchmark and the intricate details and variations made it very hard for us to choose which versions to pick for each prompt. We do hope you will enjoy this style as much as we do! The Midlibrary score is 9/9!
