Alexei Harlamoff (1840–1925) was a Russian painter known for his romanticized portraits and genre scenes, often featuring children and young women. Born in Saratov, Russia, Harlamoff studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg under the tutelage of Pavel Chistyakov. He later moved to Paris, where he became influenced by the French academic and realist styles. His work gained international recognition, and he exhibited at various salons, including the prestigious Paris Salon.
Harlamoff's art is characterized by its idealized beauty, soft color palettes, and intricate detailing. He often depicted his subjects in a state of innocence or contemplation, capturing subtle expressions and emotions.
