Daron Nefcy
American animator and illustrator
Daron Nefcy is an American illustrator and animator, recognized for her contributions to the field of animation. She is best known for creating the animated television series Star vs. the Forces of Evil, which premiered on Disney Channel in 2015 and later moved to Disney XD. Nefcy's work on the series marked her as the second woman to create an animated series for Disney Television Animation, following Sue Rose with Pepper Ann. She graduated from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where she honed her skills in character animation. Prior to her work on Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Nefcy contributed to various animation projects, including Robot and Monster and Wonder Over Yonder. Her distinctive artistic style and storytelling have garnered a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim within the animation industry.
