Printing process

Gumoil print is a photographic printing process that combines gum bichromate and oil printing techniques. It involves applying a gum arabic solution mixed with dichromate onto paper, which is then exposed to UV light through a negative. The exposed areas harden, allowing oil-based ink to adhere only to the unexposed parts, creating a unique, textured image.
Gumoil print's Midjourney style features a dark and surreal aesthetic with detailed and bold imagery. The use of fine lines and high contrast creates an expressive and moody atmosphere. The compositions often focus on central figures or elements, utilizing dynamic angles and dramatic lighting to enhance the mysterious and foreboding mood. The color palette is predominantly black and white, with occasional sepia tones, adding to the graphic and expressionist feel. Themes include wilderness, primal scenes, and mythical creatures, reminiscent of works by artists like Francisco Goya and Zdzisław Beksiński.
