About

Alex Maleev is a Bulgarian comic book artist known for his work on various Marvel Comics series, including 'Daredevil.' His style is characterized by a gritty, realistic approach that often incorporates elements of noir and crime fiction.

Observations

Across all four portraits, thick, visibly worked paint builds angular figures from rough, energetic strokes, scraped textures, and near-black shadows. A restrained teal, charcoal, and red palette creates stark contrast and a grim, surreal mood, with faces obscured by masks, blindfolds, goggles, or heavy shadow.
