About

Mana Neyestani is an Iranian cartoonist and illustrator known for his poignant and often politically charged works. His illustrations often reflect themes of social justice and human rights, drawing from his personal experiences and cultural background.

Observations

Across all four images, finely drawn ink lines, dense crosshatching, and engraving-like textures construct highly detailed monochrome scenes. The compositions use surreal shifts of scale and symbolic crowds of birds, sheep, and people, with stark white areas and deep blacks producing a dark, high-contrast theatrical mood.
