About

Max Weber was an influential American painter and one of the first artists to introduce Cubism to the United States. Born in Russia in 1881, he immigrated to America and became a prominent figure in the early 20th-century art scene. Weber's work is characterized by its bold use of color, abstract forms, and exploration of modernist themes, often reflecting his Jewish heritage and urban experiences.

Observations

Across all four images, the style combines visible, directional brushwork with simplified angular forms and strongly structured outlines. Landscapes and narrative interiors use earthy, somewhat muted colors punctuated by red, blue, and ochre accents, while dense marks and deep shadows give the scenes an expressive, tactile character.
