Peter Fischli and David Weiss

About

Peter Fischli and David Weiss was a Swiss artist duo known for their collaborative work across various media, including sculpture, photography, and video. They gained recognition for their playful and thought-provoking installations that often explored everyday objects and environments, infusing them with a sense of whimsy and surrealism.

Observations

Across all four images, the style presents carefully staged miniature worlds with monumental objects, tiny figures, and improbable environments, rendered with cinematic framing and a dreamlike sense of scale. Muted ochres, reds, and blue-greens, strong directional light, visible grain, and richly textured surfaces give the scenes a nostalgic, slightly uncanny atmosphere.
