Scott Pilgrim

About

Scott Pilgrim is a fictional character from a series of graphic novels created by Bryan Lee O'Malley. The series follows Scott, a young Canadian slacker and musician, as he navigates love, life, and battles with his girlfriend's seven evil exes. The story blends elements of romance, comedy, and action, drawing heavily from video game and indie music culture.

Observations

The style combines saturated cyan, red, pink, and green with heavy black contour lines, flat graphic color blocks, and sharp shadow shapes. It alternates between comic-book illustration and vivid photographic portraiture, using close crops, urban settings, dramatic low angles, and a retro youth-culture atmosphere.
