About

Skottie Young is a renowned American comic book artist and illustrator known for his unique and whimsical style. He has worked with major publishers like Marvel Comics, creating distinctive cover art and illustrations that capture the imagination with their playful and exaggerated features.

Observations

The style combines expressive character illustration with dense, scratchy ink drawing, heavy contour lines, and abundant cross-detail in clothing, gear, creatures, and props. Whimsical goblin-like adventurers and animal companions are rendered with oversized eyes, playful proportions, selective vivid color, and mostly open paper backgrounds.
