Born in 1982 in Buffalo, New York, Zyglis graduated from Canisius College with a degree in computer science and a minor in mathematics and fine arts. He began his career as an intern at The Buffalo News in 2004 and became a staff cartoonist in 2005. Zyglis's work is characterized by its sharp political commentary and has been recognized with several awards, including the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 2015. His cartoons often address national and international issues, with a particular focus on American politics. Zyglis is a member of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists and his work is syndicated nationally and internationally.
