About
Matthias Haker is a contemporary photographer known for his captivating images of abandoned and decaying architecture. His work often explores the beauty in forgotten spaces, capturing the intricate details and haunting atmospheres of these environments.
Observations
Across all four renders, richly detailed abandoned interiors combine decayed architecture with dense ornamental plasterwork, carved wood, stained glass, and elaborate ceilings. Strong shafts of sunlight cut through shadowed spaces, producing vivid teal, amber, and rust tones, while exaggerated perspective and monumental ruins create a dark, epic, slightly surreal atmosphere.
