Aboudia

About

Aboudia is an Ivorian contemporary artist known for his vibrant and expressive paintings that often depict urban life and social issues. His works are characterized by a raw, energetic style that combines elements of street art and traditional African influences, creating a unique visual language that speaks to themes of identity and post-colonial experience.

Observations

Across all four renders, flattened, mask-like characters are built from saturated color blocks, rough brushwork, and emphatic black linework. Scratches, drips, layered marks, and irregular facial features create a dense, energetic painted surface with a recurring surreal, improvised character language.
