Observations
The style presents highly detailed, volumetric creatures and monumental environments with tactile fabric, ribbed surfaces, weathered stone, and carefully modeled anatomy. Restrained gray-brown color, deep shadows, selective illumination, and large areas of emptiness create a bleak, monumental atmosphere, while close portrait framing alternates with tiny figures dwarfed by vast forms.
