Observations
The style uses dense black-ink illustration with heavy contour lines, extensive crosshatching, and finely packed engraved textures. Cream and burnt-orange forms stand sharply against near-black grounds, depicting surreal, fantastical characters and creatures in dramatic, richly detailed tableaux.
