About

Bill Schorr is a renowned American cartoonist known for his work in editorial cartoons and comic strips. His career spans several decades, during which he has contributed to various newspapers and publications, often infusing humor and satire into his illustrations.

Observations

The style combines highly detailed character portraiture with expressive faces, busy workroom settings, and surreal animal or botanical imagery. It shifts between finely lined, ink-like illustration and richly textured color portraiture, alongside stark monochrome treatments, while retaining dense compositions and an imaginative, slightly uncanny mood.
