About

Ed Wood was an American filmmaker known for his low-budget cult films, particularly in the horror and science fiction genres. Despite the lack of critical acclaim during his lifetime, Wood's work has gained a cult following for its unique style and earnestness.

Observations

The style is graphic and ink-driven, built from bold contour lines, dense black fills, fine hatching, and crosshatched tonal modelling. Across the portraits, stark black-and-cream contrast creates a dramatic, brooding comic-book look, with one render adding a restrained red background accent while preserving the same illustrative treatment.
