Observations
Across all four images, expressive painted bust portraits emerge from very dark grounds, with strongly modeled faces, dramatic upward gazes, and devotional gestures. Visible, varied brushwork and textured paint give the robes, hair, skin, and drapery a tactile surface, while warm flesh tones and occasional red accents stand out against deep brown-black shadows.
