About

Fatima Ronquillo is a contemporary artist known for her unique blend of classical and surreal elements in her paintings. Her work often features romantic and whimsical themes, drawing inspiration from European art history and mythology. Ronquillo's paintings are characterized by their delicate brushwork, fine detailing, and rich, layered textures, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.

Observations

The style presents idealized child portraits with softly modeled faces, restrained earthy color, and visible delicate brushwork. Elaborate lace collars, floral adornments, patterned garments, dense foliage, and pale companion animals create an ornate, theatrical, old-fashioned fantasy atmosphere.
