About

Gemma Correll is a British illustrator and cartoonist known for her humorous and relatable drawings, often featuring pugs and cats. Her work is characterized by a playful and witty style that resonates with a wide audience, capturing everyday life with a touch of sarcasm and charm.

Observations

The style uses spare, graphic cartoon drawings built from thick black ink contours, flat white and intensely red areas, and a deliberately limited palette. Exaggerated eyes, angular simplified bodies, deadpan expressions, and crowded cat-and-human interactions create a dry, humorous comic sensibility across both vignette scenes and close-ups.
