About
Halftone print is a printing technique that uses dots of varying sizes and spacing to create the illusion of gradients and shades in images. It was widely used in the printing industry for reproducing photographs and illustrations in newspapers and magazines. The technique relies on the optical blending of dots to form continuous tones, making it a cost-effective method for mass production of images.
Observations
Across all four renders, photographic portraits are translated into bold graphic poster images through dense halftone dots, limited ink colors, and stark black-and-color separations. The strong cyan, orange, blue, and cream palette, cropped compositions, paper borders, and visible print texture create a consistent retro screen-printed appearance.
