About
Isaiah Zagar is an American mosaic artist known for his vibrant and intricate public art installations, particularly in Philadelphia. His work is characterized by the use of colorful tiles, mirrors, and found objects, creating immersive environments that reflect community and personal narratives.
Observations
The style combines realistic portrait and environmental photography with intensely detailed, multicolored mosaic architecture. Rich tile fragments, reflective glass, painted markings, and weathered masonry create an ornate urban setting, while selective focus repeatedly isolates the elderly figure or nearby surfaces from the passage behind.
