About

Joan Cornella is a Spanish illustrator and cartoonist known for his darkly humorous and satirical comics. His work often features simplistic, cartoonish characters in absurd and surreal situations, exploring themes of modern life and social commentary.

Observations

The style uses flat, highly saturated color fields, thick dark contour lines, and simplified cartoon-like figures with minimal facial features. Characters are presented in expressive gestures and close portrait or vignette compositions, with occasional patterned clothing and a subtly textured paper-like surface.
