Lee Bermejo

About

Lee Bermejo is a contemporary American comic book artist known for his detailed and realistic illustrations, often working with major publishers like DC Comics. His work is characterized by a gritty and expressive style, bringing a cinematic quality to the pages of graphic novels and comics.

Observations

Across the sheet, tightly cropped human and monstrous faces are rendered with dense, visible brushwork, tactile skin and hair, and intensely exaggerated expressions. The dark, earthy palette and sharp light-to-shadow transitions create a grim, fantastical portrait style with surreal grotesque distortions.
