About
Letterism is an avant-garde movement that emerged in France in the mid-20th century, focusing on the visual and auditory potential of letters and symbols. It was a reaction against traditional literature and art, emphasizing the materiality of language and its visual representation. Letterism sought to break down the barriers between different art forms, incorporating elements of poetry, painting, and performance.
Observations
Across all four panels, the style uses bold graphic geometry, oversized letterforms, interlocking curves, and abstract architectural forms in a tightly limited red, black, cream, and occasional blue palette. Clean flat-color shapes are combined with heavy drawn lines, halftone dots, and distressed print texture, producing a dense poster-like illustrative surface.
