Marjolein Bastin

About

Marjolein Bastin is a Dutch artist known for her detailed and charming nature illustrations. Her work often features wildlife, particularly birds and small animals, set in lush, floral environments. Bastin's art is celebrated for its delicate detail and ability to capture the beauty of the natural world.

Observations

The style combines softly visible paintwork with finely rendered feathers, petals, leaves, and branching stems, creating richly layered botanical compositions. Pastel pinks, lilacs, creams, and muted greens unify the detailed bird-and-flower arrangements, which resemble decorative natural-history studies while retaining expressive brush texture.
