Mark Brooks

About

Mark Brooks is a renowned comic book artist and illustrator known for his detailed and dynamic artwork, often associated with major comic publishers. His work is characterized by a strong sense of realism combined with fantastical elements, making him a prominent figure in the comic book industry.

Observations

The style uses richly visible, layered brushwork to render dramatic female character portraits with intense gazes, dark costumes, and elaborate accessories. Warm ember tones against deep blacks and cool blue accents create a high-contrast, moody fantasy atmosphere, while fine painterly marks add both facial definition and ornate surface texture.
