Observations
The style uses richly textured, painterly surfaces and dense detail to create theatrical scenes of monumental figures, ruined architecture, and symbolic props. Deep shadows, selective red or green color accents, mist, and stark illumination give the imagery a grim, cinematic fantasy atmosphere with surreal political tableaux.
