Paper quilling
Artistic technique involving the use of rolled, shaped, and glued strips of paper

About
Paper quilling is a craft form that involves rolling, shaping, and gluing strips of paper to create decorative designs. Traditionally, it has been used to make intricate patterns and embellishments for cards, boxes, and other decorative items. The technique dates back to the Renaissance , where it was used by nuns and monks to decorate religious objects.
Observations
The style depicts butterflies, flowers, and abstract organic forms built from densely coiled, rolled paper strips, with fine outlines and a convincing raised, sculptural relief. Saturated jewel-like colors, ornate spiral detailing, and carefully placed negative space give the compositions a decorative, dreamy fantasy character.
