About

Peter Nottrott is a contemporary German artist known for his vibrant and expressive abstract paintings. His work often features dynamic compositions and bold color palettes, drawing inspiration from nature and the emotional impact of color and form.

Observations

The style is built from vigorous, highly visible broad brushstrokes and thick impasto-like ridges, with colors dragged and fanned into explosive radial movement. Saturated coral, orange, turquoise, blue, pink, and lavender passages create an expressive abstract surface that occasionally incorporates a sharply rendered portrait without losing the surrounding painterly turbulence.
