Raw texture

About

Raw texture is a visual element often found in art and design, characterized by its emphasis on tactile surfaces and material qualities. It can be seen in various forms, such as cracked paint, eroded walls, or weathered surfaces, and is used to evoke a sense of age, history, or organic processes.

Observations

Across all four renders, the style treats paint and plaster as an abstract, tactile subject, with thick buildup, peeling layers, cracks, flakes, and irregular relief dominating the image. Broad gestural marks and heavily weathered surfaces create expressive compositions that shift between subdued charcoal-and-rust tones and intense red or blue pigment.
