About
Richard MacDonald is a renowned American sculptor known for his dynamic and expressive bronze sculptures, often depicting dancers and athletes in motion. His work is celebrated for its anatomical precision and ability to capture the fluidity and grace of the human form.
Observations
Across all four renders, monumental human figures are presented as highly modelled sculptures, with rough, layered surfaces and elaborate, wind-swept drapery. Earthy muted tones, deep shadows, and isolated studio-like backdrops heighten the dramatic motion and epic emotional intensity of the compositions.
