Robert Colescott was an American painter known for his vibrant and provocative works that often addressed themes of race and identity. His art is characterized by bold colors, dynamic compositions, and a satirical edge, exploring complex social issues through a unique visual language.

Observations

Across all four panels, recognizable figures and portrait-like faces emerge from thick, highly visible impasto and broad gestural strokes. Saturated coral, blue, turquoise, yellow, and black create a forceful, high-contrast collage-like field, with dense overlapping crowds and boldly simplified clothing and faces.
