About

Ron Tandberg was an Australian political cartoonist known for his sharp wit and distinctive style. His work often appeared in newspapers, where he used humor and satire to comment on political and social issues. Tandberg's cartoons were recognized for their simplicity, yet they conveyed powerful messages that resonated with the public.

Observations

The style uses graphic cartoon drawing with heavy, emphatic outlines, simplified anatomy, and flat blocks of mostly primary color against open paper or solid backgrounds. Across the portraits and full figures, exaggerated noses, eyes, hair, and gestures create an expressive, humorous character-design language.
