About

Tom Toles is an American editorial cartoonist known for his work in political satire. Observations

Across all four panels, the style uses dense black-and-white ink drawing, heavy outlines, and extensive crosshatching to build expressive faces, clothing, crowds, and atmospheric backgrounds. The scenes combine macabre or uncanny characters with exaggerated eyes, stark contrast, and surreal comic situations.
