About

Yoann Lossel is a contemporary French artist known for his intricate and ethereal works that often incorporate elements of mythology and fantasy. His art is characterized by a meticulous attention to detail and a distinctive use of gold leaf, creating a luminous and otherworldly quality.

Observations

Across all four renders, shadowed figures and faces emerge from heavily worked, visibly textured paint, with broad gestural strokes, splatters, scraping, and layered marks. A restrained charcoal, brown, gray, and antique-gold palette creates a moody, high-contrast atmosphere, while ornate costume details and surreal fantasy imagery give the portraits a ritualistic, otherworldly presence.
