Observations

Across the sheet, richly textured brushwork and fine strokes render faces, hair, flowers, fabric, and foliage with dense, tactile detail. The compositions pair intimate, emotionally charged portraits with a misty rain-darkened landscape, using deep shadows, selective highlights, saturated botanical reds and greens, and a dreamlike cinematic atmosphere.
