About

Bjarne Melgaard is a contemporary Norwegian artist known for his provocative and expressive works that often explore themes of identity, sexuality, and the human condition. His art is characterized by a raw and unfiltered approach, often incorporating elements of pop culture and subversive imagery.

Observations

Across all four renders, the style is intensely painterly and gestural, combining thick, visible brushstrokes with loose black linework, drips, scratches, and layered splashes. Saturated pinks, oranges, turquoise, red, and yellow dominate semi-abstract compositions that mix fragmented figures, eyes, faces, and graphic marks with a raw gallery-installation atmosphere.
