About

Carlos Latuff is a Brazilian political cartoonist known for his provocative and bold illustrations that often address global political issues, conflicts, and social justice themes. His work is characterized by its clear, impactful messages and a distinctive style that combines elements of traditional cartooning with modern digital techniques.

Observations

The style uses graphic, comic-like drawing with thick black contour lines, flat saturated color fields, and energetic crosshatched marks for shadow and texture. Dramatic political and military scenes are composed with expressive figures, strong diagonals, crowded groupings, and stark red, black, white, green, and blue contrasts.
