About

Daniel Merriam is an American artist known for his fantastical and surreal paintings, often featuring dreamlike architecture and whimsical characters. His work is characterized by intricate detail and a romantic, imaginative style that draws inspiration from Victorian and Edwardian aesthetics.

Observations

Across all four renders, the style combines highly detailed, ornate fantasy architecture with elegant figures, elaborate costumes, gardens, and theatrical interiors. Fine linear detailing and painterly texture build dense layered surfaces, while a cool blue-green palette with coral and cream accents gives the scenes a dreamy, lavish, storybook atmosphere.
