About

Dorohedoro is a Japanese manga series created by Q Hayashida. It is known for its dark, gritty narrative set in a post-apocalyptic world where magic and science intertwine. The story follows a man named Caiman, who seeks to uncover the mystery behind his transformation into a reptilian-headed being, amidst a chaotic cityscape filled with sorcerers and strange creatures.

Observations

The style uses highly detailed comic-book drawing with thick, aggressively scratchy ink lines, dense hatching, and simplified blocks of intense red, black, and occasional grey. Grotesque humanoid and monstrous characters dominate the compositions, creating an expressive, dark fantasy-horror mood with stark poster-like contrast.
