About

Jen Sorensen is a contemporary American cartoonist and illustrator known for her insightful and often humorous commentary on social and political issues. Her work is characterized by its sharp wit and distinctive visual style, making her a prominent figure in the world of editorial cartoons and graphic storytelling.

Observations

The style uses highly detailed comic-book drawing with heavy black outlines, dense interior hatching, expressive faces and gestures, and clean, mostly flat color fields. Saturated reds, greens, and blues are pushed against deep shadows, while crowded urban, domestic, and wilderness settings combine realistic figures with surreal creatures and layered narrative action.
