Observations
The style combines richly visible brushwork with fine contour lines, densely layering fur, feathers, hair, leaves, and petals into ornate close-up portraits. A subdued cream, rust, sage, and blue-gray palette gives the animal and human subjects a romantic, fantastical, slightly surreal character.
