About
Lath art is a form of folk art that traditionally involves creating pictures or designs using thin strips of wood, often reclaimed from old lath boards used in plaster walls. This art form emphasizes craftsmanship and the natural beauty of wood, focusing on texture and pattern to create visually engaging pieces.
Observations
Across the renders, the style treats wood as a deeply layered sculptural medium, combining dense carved ornament with crisp geometric construction and repeated radial symmetry. Warm natural timber, relief shadows, architectural framing, and finely articulated lines create an elaborate decorative language spanning wall panels, rosettes, foliage, and animal forms.
