About

Liniers is an Argentine cartoonist and illustrator known for his comic strip "Macanudo" and other works that blend humor with a touch of the surreal. His real-life counterpart, Ricardo Siri, has gained international recognition for his unique style and storytelling ability, often featuring whimsical characters and imaginative scenarios.

Observations

Across all four renders, the style uses densely detailed, hand-drawn linework with fine hatching and textured marks to build expressive creatures, children, trees, and village settings. Muted blue-gray, brown, black, and rust tones create an eerie woodland atmosphere, while exaggerated eyes, unusual proportions, and whimsical encounters give the scenes a surreal storybook character.
