About
Lithography print is a method of printing originally based on the immiscibility of oil and water. The process involves drawing on a flat stone or metal plate with a greasy substance, then treating the surface to retain the drawing while repelling ink from the rest of the surface. This technique allows for high-quality reproductions of artworks and is known for its ability to capture fine details and subtle gradations of tone.
Observations
Across the four prints, dense fine-line drawing and ink-like contouring combine with graphic flat-color fields, limited but vivid palettes, and visibly rough print textures. Portraits, floral forms, and eccentric figures are arranged as expressive, highly detailed poster-like compositions, often with strong black-and-white contrast or saturated red, orange, and blue accents.
